AGEMERA partner joins the MINEXCHANGE 2023 event in the USA

Our partner institution, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, was present at a high-level conference in Denver, where they introduced AGEMERA to various stakeholders in the field of mining

The importance of critical raw materials is not limited to our continent. In fact, if we want to achieve a global transition to green technologies, we have to work together on raising awareness of the role of these vital raw materials in our lives. Which is why we are extremely happy to report that the news about our project's mission has, literally, crossed the ocean, with our partners from TU Bergakademie Freiberg joining the MINEXCHANGE Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, Colorado, between 26 February and 1 March this year.

This high-level event is organised by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, & Exploration and its aim is to build trust in mining. As this industry has gained more and more attention and visibility recently, it became even more important to emphasise the need for critical minerals as the driver of a green economy, but with a particular focus on minimising the negative impact of mining to the environment. Lucky for us, new safety strategies and creative, innovative technologies have emerged, ones that give hope to the ambition of building a sustainable future.

Our partners from TUBAF held a presentation and explained our project's mission to the audience. They provided a short overview of critical raw materials (CRMs) in Europe, the major bottlenecks of CRM supply and the risks associated with it, and AGEMERA's role in achieving self-sufficiency in terms of CRM. A summary of highlights from the first six months of the project was also included at the end of the presentation.

We are grateful to our partners for making our project visible on such a large scale, at an event gathering more than 6500 participants from around the world. The conference was also the perfect opportunity for networking and increasing our project's visibility across the Atlantic. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for us!
