AGEMERA partner establishes joint venture in Canada
Radai launches a joint venture in Canada, the third SME established by AGEMERA, marking the reach of a very important KPI
Almost one year after its official completion, AGEMERA proves that high-quality work and the tireless efforts of partners bear fruit, by reaching a fantastic milestone: the third SME established as a direct result of the project, this time on the North American continent, by our friends and colleagues at Radai!
Radai Canada was born as part of Radai's strategy to expand its drone-based geophysical survey services beyond Europe, into the North American market, particularly within the mining and mineral exploration sector. Our colleagues at Radai had been searching for a local partner with strong interest and experience in drones, who could oversee flight operations and support local business activities - and this is how their collaboration with Christopher White, founder of an aerial photography and drone training company, came to life. Chris, whom you can also see in the picture with Ari Saartenoja, Radai's Managing Director, has solid expertise in drone operations, as well as a strong understanding of local regulations - essential for operating in the Canadian market.
How will this venture run? This is not the first adventure of the sort for Radai - they have already successfully established joint ventures in Tanzania and Zambia. Radai Canada will handle sales, marketing, and flight operations, while data processing and interpretation will be carried out in Finland. Radai's Finnish team will continue to develop new measurement technologies, which will be integrated into the operations of the local company. Target customers are mineral exploration companies, including junior exploration firms, as well as larger mining companies.
Why Canada, though? Because it's one of the largest and most active mining markets globally. While competition is strong, the overall market size is significant. Radai's selling proposition is novel, more efficient survey methods and technologies, compared to existing solutions on the market, and this will help them stand out. Congratulations to the Radai team for all this hard work - us, the AGEMERA consortium, could not be any prouder!
