AGEMERA, part of the 34th Annual General Meeting and Conference: The Society of Mining Professors in Sydney

AGEMERA, part of the 34th Annual General Meeting and Conference: The Society of Mining Professors in Sydney

Our partners from TU Bergakademie Freiberg contributed to the Education, Research, Development, and Industry sessions at the AGMC conference.

Hosted from September 5th to 11th by UNSW Sydney's School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering in partnership with the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), the forum brought together the global academic community of the minerals discipline, and the AGEMERA partners did not miss the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with experts from the field.

On September 9th, Georg Meißner led the presentation about the AGEMERA online course on European Critical Raw Materials for the Green and Digital Transition (ECRMs), where he shared insights into its valuable content, which responds to the industry needs, as well as the positive feedback from people who attended the lectures in the past spring and  increased their knowledge of this topic.

The next day, as part of the Research, Development, and Industry dialogues, Md Ariful Islam, introduced the topic: Understanding a Digital Tool for the Continuous Economic Valuation of Critical Raw Materials Mining Projects.

We already look forward to the next event. Aligning with this year’s conference theme of “Building Tomorrow Together through Integrating Technology and Embracing Diversity in Mining,” the AGEMERA project continues its journey of raising awareness of the importance of Critical Raw Materials.
